What is includem?
includem is a charity that supports children, young people and families. This support looks different for everyone.
We believe in a world where everyone is valued, listened to and can take part. Trust matters to us and we don't give up if things get tough. Relationships matter to us. We believe that when you feel supported, you can help us figure out what you need and what works. Based on what you tell us about your life and what matters to you, we will make a plan with you.
Why are we working together?
Firstly, don't worry - people are supported by us for many reasons. You may have asked for support yourself, or includem may have been asked by other professionals to support you. You might want to make a change in your life. You might need support with something, or need us to work with people in your life. Your support team will talk to you about what this might look like for you.
We hope we can make things easier. We will be honest with you and involve you in how we work together. If you don't want to work with us, we understand. We will help you have this conversation with whoever referred you to work out the next steps.
What will this look like?
We will agree with you, and whoever referred you, how often we will see you. This might be at your home, at school, or somewhere else. This can include evenings and weekends - we will talk to you about what is best for you. You might see other people in your life, such as the people who look after you. You will be able to speak to your workers, but if they aren't available, you can call us and someone will answer the phone and either help you, or put you in touch with someone who can. If you would like to know more about how we can help you and how we do it, ask your includem team.
